Southern Indiana’s mature hardwood forests host some of the Midwest’s most sought-after breeding warblers. This guided tour explores prime habitat in Yellowwood State Forest and the T.C. Steele State Historic Site, two locations known for supporting healthy populations of several range-restricted breeding species. By visiting during the peak of the nesting season, participants will experience active territories, singing males, and an immersive look at Indiana’s forest bird communities.
