Indiana’s remaining prairie and grassland habitats support a unique community of birds that are difficult to find elsewhere in the state. This tour focuses on open grasslands and agricultural fields where several declining prairie specialists still breed. Early morning visits offer the best chance to hear territorial songs and observe birds displaying over the fields.
